ERP UPGRADE
Opportunity
An ERP upgrade was in process involving cross-functional stakeholders. The addition of project management resources was required for the accounting and finance functional area related to a PeopleSoft Financial Management upgrade.
Risk
Without project management support and quality testing, the project was likely to experience delays and implementation issues that would negatively impact the users and overall system functionality.
Our Role
Stache & Associates was responsible for serving in a project management role, being the liaison between IT and accounting/finance functions, and achieving a successful ERP upgrade.
Action
Stache & Associates communicated with stakeholders at various levels on project status, issues, and action items. We built and maintained the project work plan action items log. In our project management role, we built, delivered, and maintained intuitive templates for weekly project status, work plan tasks, issues, risks, action items, test scripts, and testing metrics. We partnered with the financial services team members to create test scripts with test data for each module. Stache & Associates collaborated with IT to address change management activities such as building a cutover plan, supporting communication, managing the build and update of go-live readiness documents, and playing an active role onsite during execution of cutover tasks during go-live, tracking all issues to resolution. Stache & Associates managed go-live readiness activities and provided go-live support.
Benefit
Stache & Associates provided the necessary project management, change management, testing, and deployment support to enable a successful go-live for the PeopleSoft Financial Management upgrade.
