The client's information technology portion of the ERP was outsourced to another company that planned to go live with a PeopleSoft upgrade with minimal testing, training, and communication. The client recognized the gap and engaged Stache & Associates to fill the void.



Without proper testing, the application would go-live with serious defects, potentially affecting payroll. The supply chain process would be compromised due to the new ordering process implemented without training. Stakeholder engagement would be impacted due to lack of formal communication.


Our Role

Stache & Associates provided Business Project Management and Change Management for the Finance/Accounting segment.



Stache & Associates recommended extending the timeline to allow for extensive user acceptance testing by the business, build out and execution of a comprehensive communication plan, and development of job aids and training for the significant business areas affected by the upgrade.



Because of these efforts, the help desk experienced a less than 10% increase over the normal volume of tickets the first week after go-live and returned to normal volumes within 3 weeks. Additionally, the training class had a more than 80% approval rating. The organization continues to use the application daily with no interruption to their business.
